What a wonderful apartment! My husband and I stayed there with our two teenaged kids. The apartment is a great size and we loved the art and decorations. The location was fantastic–a dangerously close walk to Pierre Herme and those delicious macarons, easy walks to many major destinations that one would want to visit, and super close to several Metro stops that can lead to the rest of the Paris. We were there during unusually hot weather, and with the help of fans that Connie provided, the apartment remained very comfortable. With the windows open we could hear the neighbors going about their days, and it was very quiet at night. We didn’t cook much in the apartment, but it seemed very well equipped for everything we needed. If it weren’t for wanting to stay in another arrondissement on our next visit (always want to explore new areas!), we’d return here in a heartbeat.

We had a fabulous time in Paris and a pleasant trip home. Ali was great and we enjoyed meeting him.
Thank you for all the arrangements. Below, a brief post-Bordeaux response from Friday night:

The apartment Saint Simone-Saint Germain is comfortable and well appointed, with spacious kitchen, dining and living areas. Its location, just off Boulevard Saint Germain, within a few minutes’ walk of the famous cafes and shops of the district and near markets for food and wine is ideal. Bookshelves are filled with histories, art books and classical compact discs that tempt one to just stay home. Should the mind wander in confusion or incivility, simply glance out the tall windows, or step onto the narrow balcony where the sight of the Eiffel Tower, radiant at night, reminds us we are in Paris, and reminds us of all for which she stands.

We loved the apartment, everything about it. The location was wonderful, with a lovely view of Place des Vosges out the front window. Right on two subway lines with two stations 4 minutes away. The neighborhood was just what we wanted, very French with lovely cafes and boutiques everywhere, lots of people around, but not noisy. The apartment provided everything we needed, and a lot we never used.

The manager who met us was very accommodating and pleasant. Almost like having our own concierge. And we loved the building with its ancient doorway and garden courtyard. We look forward to working with you again.

Our stay at Marais Picasso Trois was all we hoped for…a superb location close to the well connected Bastille Metro and the trending restaurants of the 11th, while still a short walk to Place des Vosges and all the treasures of the Marais. Panache took care of every detail, and greeter Thomas Chaix made settling in a breeze.

Don’t let the typically understated entrance to this building deter you. When the apartment door opens you will be enveloped in sunlight, beautiful traditional architecture and a tastefully renovated world all your own. The owners’ artistic spirit shows through in the carefully curated items displayed, while still leaving lots of space for guests to make themselves at home. The appliances and fixtures are all new (including a convenient washer/dryer) and the apartment was spotlessly clean and incredibly well stocked with supplies (well beyond those expected).

Enjoy croissants and coffee on the delightful, plant-filled balcony. Bring home dinner from a local Trattoire and relax in the spacious kitchen/dining room. Located on a side street, this apartment is quite quiet at night. Black-out shutters and Panache’s signature early check-in make this the perfect place to catch a few daytime winks after an overnight transatlantic flight. Then open the many double doors and soak up the feel of Paris!

I want to give you some feedback on the house in St. Remy from my ladies trip. It was spectacular!! It was even better than the photos captured. It was huge, with every bedroom being a full suite each with a private bathroom and lots of space. The living area was so comfortable and we spent several mornings and a couple evenings around the lovely dining room table.

We also loved the location as it was so close to town and very centrally located for day trips. St. Remy is charming and highly recommended as a base. We enjoyed some of the wonderful restaurants, bars and shopping as well. We did have a few problems but not the fault of the owners or property. There was one thunderstorm and we lost power in the evening. Also, the gate stopped working. However, Bernadette was absolutely wonderful and she responded quickly to any problems. She was kind, helpful and very sweet. Also, the owners, M et Mme Gregoire were also lovely people. They called a couple of times and insisted that Bernadette give us a bottle of wine because of the small problems we had. We had our own olive trees in the yard to look out at every day and even though it wasn’t warm enough to go in the pool, we enjoyed relaxing by it. Very serene setting. We were very happy and comfortable with our stay. I would highly recommend this home. Also, people should know that there is only one stand up shower. All the others were tubs with shower wands. I understand as it is an older house and that is the way homes were built. I explained that to my guests and they adjusted to it fine.
    Overall, a near perfect stay!!

We just returned from Europe yesterday and received the security deposit check. We had an excellent time in Paris and want to thank you again for helping us find an apartment on short notice when it seemed like all of Paris was sold out for our dates. The apartment suited us perfectly and the location could not have been better. When we first arrived the power somehow went out in the apartment and Josie (spelling?) who I believe is the on site property manager for the building was right there to fix it for us, very nice lady and it was good to know someone was there to help out. We’ve already been perusing your listings in Provence and Rome and won’t hesitate to call you again and refer you to others. It was an excellent experience all the way around and we like to stick with what works.

Both the Paris and London apartments were great and for different reasons. In London, as newcomers, the Cambridge Circus apartment turned out to be right in the middle of everything. Most of the theatres are walkable from there and there are good pub dining rooms serving at 6:00pm if you need pre-theatre dinners, and we did. The restaurant right beneath the apartment is one of those restaurants. Also great food and shops in Covent Garden. The tube station has two of the more essential lines for getting around and Trafalgar Sq. is a straight walk down Charing Cross Rd. In Paris, the rue de Grenelle apartment was just as great as we’d remembered and our friends liked it as much as we did. One thing surely could be fixed–the wi-fi password is ridiculously long and complex. It’s like 15 or 18 digits/letters. Those things are meant to be changed by the owner after the wi-fi provider installs them! As always, we appreciate your set up and detail work ahead of time.

    Best to you both!

The apartments was absolutely stunning! The location is fantastic, in the middle of the Marais and the photos absolutely capture the decor and the quality of the accommodations. The access to the apartment could not have been easier and Connie made sure that we had everything we needed upon arrival. We were met by the local host and shown everything for our stay and even were greeted with some welcoming items in the refrigerator. The accommodation is very large, quite airy and open on the ground floor, great for a larger party or a family. The bathrooms were wonderful, particularly the one attached to the main bedroom. Everyone had enough space, and private for groups travelling together. Although we were there in the winter, there is an absolutely wonderful garden, so in the spring and summer I could see this being a real bonus for those wine drinking evenings and/or breakfast in the sun. The main bedroom and a second lounge/bedroom are underground, but they are very spacious and there is natural light into each of the rooms, which really makes the space very nice. Also, sleeping downstairs is extremely quiet and dark, should you want to sleep the first half of the day away, or open the blinds and the natural light comes down for a nice awakening with the morning. The apartment is within easy walking (and carrying distance) from the main shops and supermarket. There is a lovely covered market close by and the local patisserie was brilliant. We ate and shopped locally, but travelled around Paris — easy access to the Metro from the location. I could not recommend this apartment more. Enjoy your stay here.

I’ve been tardy with letting you know how much we enjoyed both Paris and in particular the apartment on Rue St Jacques. You were so right that Jennifer would enjoy being right in the middle of everything. We were able to walk just about everywhere and it was nice to have a place to chill over cheese and wine each night before we headed out to dinner. The apartment was very comfortable and I loved all of the light that washed the living and dining rooms. My highlight was seeing Catherine Deneuve at the local market!!I’ll definitely let you know when I’m headed to southern France again because I’ll want an apartment – an area I love but haven’t covered adequately.

Paris is the perfect place for a birthday!

This has been a fabulous week! We have loved the apartment and location. We managed to walk between 5 and 8 miles each day and took 2 day trips to places we had never been. Marshall’s French history knowledge is very handy. Thank you so much. We will travel with you again!

I’ll add to Caroline’s note that we had people in last night and sold them all on the idea of apartments in Paris! Your man on the ground here,Bernard, gave us a wonderful reception, including a bottle of wine and some jam and croissants and milk! A wonderful time!
