Description

You enter this elegant, calm 2nd floor apartment off rue Chateaubriand in the 8th arrondissement, or quarter, by elevator. Your door opens into a warm, chic space with ivory-hued décor and furnishings.
Immediately you see that the famous Parisian floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto what looks like a grand country estate, with a vast green lawn and faraway stone stronghold drawing the eye far out into the landscape. Can this be Paris centre ville?
Once you’ve acclimated to that gorgeous view and the unbelievable quiet, you’ll note that there’s a comfortable bedroom fitted out with luxurious linens. The sofa in the living room folds out into a single bed for your lucky daughter.
The tidy eat-in kitchen is perfect for enjoying your morning pain au chocolat and café, as well as the delectable sundries you’ll find in the chic shops and markets in the neighborhood. Your bathroom is spotless and trimmed out in Parisian comfort as well, with towel warmer and huge tiled shower enclosure.
You’ll definitely want to come back here next time you’re called to Paris on business!

Things have changed a teeny bit from the time when Gigi, of the eponymously named musical, was getting her “education,” and now, the hard work your daughter put in, to earn her summa cum laude degree from that Ivy League school. Nevertheless, when it comes to celebrating, what’s old is new, and taking her to Paris is how to do it in style.

This “awfully awfully upper” apartment is your command post for Operation Celebration. Overlooking the Chamber of Commerce’s pale stone chateau (with its grey mansard roof and private gardens), you’ll feel you’re staying at a private manor in a remote corner of la belle France. A short distance from the storied Fouquet’s, or that even more intimate bubble lounge, Flûte, with its blown glass chandelier reaching through two floors, you can toast your daughter with the finest champagne.

You’re also steps from the LMVH building, the Seine, the Plaza Hotel, the Arc de Triomphe. Quiet, classy, and oh-so-Parisian… this is the perfect haven for your highly-anticipated visite. Stroll along the Champs Elysées, a mere block away from the apartment, and take in the Broadway and Fifth Avenue of Paris, all rolled up into one. Take her to a show. Shop along the impossibly exclusive Avenue Montaigne. Spend a languorous day at the Louvre.

Et voilà!At the end of each of your dreamy adventures, you can walk back to your own ultra-private Parisian apartment. And spinning in your mind will be these Lerner and Loewe lyrics, as sung by Gaston and Gigi:
The night they invented champagne
It's plain as it can be
They thought of you and me
The night they invented champagne
They absolutely knew
that all we'd want to do
Is fly to the sky on champagne
And shout to everyone in sight
That since the world began
no woman or a man
has ever been as happy as we are tonight![1]
