The District
Located in the posh 6th arrondissement, this apartment is almost literally across the street from the famous Luxembourg Garden. Here you can spend the afternoon picnicking on the lawns before wander its paths making your way past the Luxembourg Palace.
Just a little further to the east is the incredible Pantheon; the final resting place of France's most celebrated citizens. The interior is a must see.
Just beyond the Pantheon are the winding streets and bustle of the Latin Quarter. Discover its hidden secrets before heading down to Rue Mouffetard to experience the old cobble-stoned Paris.
Be sure to visit the Museum of the Middle Ages Thermes de Cluny while in the area. It houses an incredible collection of artifacts and restorations of the Roman period of Paris through to the medieval period.
Right around the corner from the apartment is Saint-Sulpice Church, a must see for Gothic architecture.
Further west is the Eugène Delacroix Museum for the classical art lovers.
In fact, the apartment is fairly centrally located, making it simple to access much of what the city has to offer in terms of sights. All within walking distance are Notre Dame, the shopping of Boulevard Saint-Germain, the Musee d'Orsay, the Orangerie, the Musee du Louvre, Ile Saint-Louis and the Jardin des Plantes.
For those places a little further afield like Montmartre, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, the apartment is well served by public transportation with the Odéon Metro stop just at the corner and the Luxembourg RER stop (remember your metro tickets are fine on the RER within the city limits) just beyond the gardens. And as always, there are always taxi stands nearby for more convenient travel.
