This large and exceptionally luxurious apartment is tastefully decorated with antique and contemporary furnishings. Centrally located in the heart of Paris, this Marais apartment is an easy walk to the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens, the Centre Pompidou and Les Halles, the Seine, Ile St Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Marais district and the Left Bank. The neighborhood abounds with shops, restaurants and cafes and is near one of Paris' major transport hubs. The apartment is advantageously situated on a small residential street which serves as a pedestrian thoroughfare, not allowing vehicular traffic. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor (French) of a classic Parisian building built in the 1800s. Entirely renovated in 2002 to the highest standard, the apartment offers all the modern conveniences and technology including a high speed internet line and second fax line in addition to the regular phone line. This spacious apartment is 140 square meters in size with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms.

Upon entering the apartment you are surprised by the large open space comprising the living and dining rooms. There is a large volume of open space because these two areas are adjoining without separation walls. The high ceiling and wooden beams transport you back to another bygone era of old Europe. The flooring in this apartment is an exceptionally restored oak parquet with a rich patina in the classic chevron design. The dining area has an expansive refectory table with seating for 8. There is a large sliding glass door that leads to a small outdoor terrace with table, chairs and an outdoor grill.

The living room area is open and spacious. A stately antique armoire discreetly houses a complete entertainment center containing a television, DVD and VCR players and a stereo system. The TV has cable, so you have access to foreign stations such as the BBC or CNN. Two velvet upholstered armchairs and a superb black leather sectional sofa complete the living room furnishings as the large working fireplace adds to the chic atmosphere. There are two large, classic French windows at the far end of the living room which over look the small tree-lined pedestrian passageway.

There is a small powder room for your guest's convenience so they needn't use the private bathrooms that adjoin the bedrooms. The powder room is beautifully decorated in light beige ceramic tile and contains a toilet and hand basin.

Turning immediately to your right upon entry, you come to the large and well equipped American-style kitchen.
Everything has been provided for all of your cooking needs - oven, stove top burners with a ventilation hood, microwave oven, large refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a clothes washing machine and dryer in the kitchen. The large kitchen offers plenty of work space on the handsome granite-top kitchen counters and the flooring is of a light gray ceramic tile. Small kitchen appliances such as a toaster, electric kettle and coffee maker are also provided. There is an eat-in dining area in the kitchen with an antique wooden table for 4 persons, placed next to a large sliding glass door leading to the outdoor terrace.

The Master Bedroom suite is comprised of a spacious bedroom with an exceptionally large bathroom. There is a King Size bed dressed in the same beautiful Ming motif fabric as the curtains which billow on the floor around the generous window. There are ample built-in closets, and other bedroom furniture include a nightstand, a small dresser and lovely boudoir chairs done in green silk upholstery.

Adjoining the Master Bedroom is a lovely, spacious bathroom with a large bathtub (with overhead shower), a sink, mirror and bidet. This same bathroom can also be accessed independently from the the 3rd bedroom.

The second bedroom has two single beds with a nightstand between the two beds. The restful decor of this bedroom features white walls with pale beige carpeting and a large window overlooking the quiet trees lined street. There is a bathroom that adjoins this bedroom containing a toilet, shower stall and wash basin. It is rather a large bathroom for Paris standards and is decorated with light beige ceramic tile walls and flooring.

The 3rd bedroom can double as an office or music room, depending on your needs. Here you have a European-style trundle bed which can be used as 1.) a single bed or 2.) made into a double bed or 3.) made into 2 twin beds of equal height separate from one another. The decor of this room is the same as the 2nd bedroom featuring white walls and pale beige carpeting and a large window overlooking the street. There is an upright piano in the bedroom along with an antique desk and chair.
