The District
This area is known as the Chaillot Quarter. The village of Chaillot was absorbed into Paris in the nineteenth century and became an area of grand Second Empire avenues, opulent mansions and outstanding museums. Turn left on Victor Hugo and you will soon reach the Trocadéro Plaza where you can visit the Marine's Museum and the Museum of Modern Art amongst others.

Walk along the Champs Elysées, stop and climb to the top of the Arch of Triumph and from there you can marvel at the beauty of the Champs Elysées, with the Place de la Concorde on one side, and Paris' business centre, La Défense, on the other.

Turning right from the Champs Elysées you soon will see the Eiffel Tower, another high vantage point on a clear day. If you feel like having the dinner of a lifetime make a reservation (a must) at the Jules Vernes restaurant in the Eiffel Tower.

From the apartment you can quickly reach Place de La Concorde, all the museums and the Avenue Montaigne where you can visit the best designer shops - Dior, YSL, Chloé, Lanvin, Escada, Tod's, Cartier, Hermès. Subways, buses, or taxis, are close by but walking is recommended as the most enoyable to see this part of Paris.<
