LOCATION
St-Rémy is an historic small market town of Roman origins situated south of Avignon and an hour north of Marseilles. The other major towns close by include Arles, Nîmes, Salon, Orange and Aix-en-Provence. There are many small and attractive villages in the area including Egalyiéres and the historic fortress town of Les Baux.
The sea is about an hour’s drive either to St.Marie-de-la-Mer in the Camargue, or via the Autoroute to beach resorts such as Cassis.
The house is located three kilometres to the south east of St-Rémy, and is the last mas situated against the foothills of Les Alpilles, which forms the western extension of the Lubéron mountain range.
