Temple
Sleeps: 6
Metro: Temple
Floor: Ground Floor
TV,DVD
This three levels 3 bedrooms apartment known as “Temple”
is right in the centre of “Le Marais” and is your home away
from home.
The design and volume gives you the impression that you’re in a
house versus an apartment.
Its location is ideal in terms of proximity to the busy Paris, as well
as being very quiet due to its location in a private mews.
One enters the large and inviting dining room, than one discovers the
very warm and cosy living room filled with an inviting sofa, chairs, and
pillows in order to rest and relax after a busy day in the city. The fully
equipped American type kitchen is not just there to blend in the décor;
it’s a “real genuine” where one can cook elaborate dishes,
as well as sweets.
There’s enough cooking equipment that no one will be caught with
a missing piece, be it dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, cups,
etc.
One flight up takes you to the 3 bedrooms which are soberly decorated
in keeping with the minimal décor of the whole place. There’s
a very large bathroom (shower and bath), there one also find the washer
and dryer tucked away in a closet.
A 2 couples + 2 kid party can sojourn there very easily.
Your private office is right on the 1st floor landing, it’s equipped
with an antique desk, a local phone line, a Fax, and a high speed cable
connection that allows you to keep in touch with your office and the rest
of the world, while still enjoying Paris!!!
Thanks to its owners who are involved in the high end of the fashion industry,
the apartment as a numerous touches of sobriety & class. Its furnishing
is very contemporary with a feel of “Less is more” giving
you the impression of a wider interior.
From the main floor one steps down to the welcoming TV room which, aside
from its plush sofa, is equipped with a cable large screen TV set, with
a DVD player.
The visuals of “Temple” let you feel and sense the beauty
of it and, as we all know “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
The Marais area used to be a quite imposing and large swampy land until
it was drained out many centuries ago. It has become, to Parisians as
well as foreign people, a very fashionable place to live in. Shops of
any kind are plentiful, one will find the latest “out of the world”
creations, be it fashion, furnishing, or else, as well as more quiet touches.
Galleries, & showrooms abound, so are restaurants, bistros, food stalls,
exhibitions, etc.
At a walking and very near distance go and discover the Place de la Republique
always busy, always fun, seating at a terrace it’s a must to watch
his fashionable inhabitants. Further on you can’t miss going to
the Oberkampf street were a multitude of “IN” cafes offer
a different atmosphere than any other part of Paris, there patrons are
always ready to mingle with visitors
around a glass of wine or beer and fun fares.
Slightly further away take a stroll to visit the Canal St Martin and its
surroundings, with a little bit of luck you may catch a barge going through
the water locks.
At less than 10 minutes walk go and pay a visit to the Pompidou Museum
with its ever changing exhibitions, and shows. Good Restaurants, Cafés,
Movie theatres, shops, even a very large Mall are right there. From there
one can venture to see Paris City Hall, the Seine River, etc.
One negative comment though, only one week in “Temple” apartment
will not be enough time to immerse you fully with the essence of the “City
of Light”.
One positive comment: It will be your best stay ever in a foreign country!!
Enjoy.
